Which product groups does IFS HPC cover?
IFS HPC covers sites producing cosmetics (creams, shampoos, perfumes), household chemicals (detergents, softeners, bleach), personal hygiene products (wet wipes, diapers, pads) and kitchen and household products (aluminum foil, trash bags, cleaning cloths).
We hold ISO 22716 (cosmetics GMP). Why get IFS HPC?
ISO 22716 is a legal minimum and a basic manufacturing discipline. IFS HPC is a higher-level GFSI-benchmarked standard recognized by global retailers such as Metro, Carrefour and Lidl. With its risk management, product defense, traceability and percentage scoring, it goes much deeper than ISO 22716 and carries more weight.
How is IFS HPC scored?
Each requirement is scored as full compliance (A), slight deviation (B), serious deviation (C) or nonconformity (D). Companies with a total score between 75% and 95% receive Foundation Level, and those with 95% or above receive Higher Level.
What are the most common mistakes in household and personal care audits?
The most common major errors and KO risks found on site are poor monitoring of water systems (deionized or purified water) that carry microbiological risk, cross-contamination on packing lines, formulation changes that break raw material traceability, and staff who are unfamiliar with the standard's requirements when interviewed.
