Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions and answers about the IFS Logistics Awareness training.
Does IFS Logistics cover both food and non-food logistics?
Yes. IFS Logistics covers the storage and transport of frozen, chilled and ambient food as well as packaging materials, personal care, household chemicals and other consumer products.
Can you run the training in-house?
Absolutely. We can tailor the training to your type of logistics operation (cold store, transport fleet, bonded warehouse, liquid transport and so on) and site conditions, and run it at your company or online.
Do we need IFS Logistics if we already hold IFS Food or BRCGS Food?
If your business stores and ships only what it produces, your food manufacturing certificates may cover these processes. But if you provide independent 3PL or 4PL logistics services, or contracted storage or transport, IFS Logistics will be a mandatory requirement.
